Windows 11’s Start Menu is about to get a whole lot less annoying. Microsoft is testing a streamlined design in the Dev and Beta channels, ditching the cluttered split view for a more unified and customizable experience.
The update combines the Pinned and Recommended sections into one, and introduces a new “All” section for quick access to every installed app which removes the need to click the “All” button.
Users who like a clean look can now hide the Recommended section entirely. The new vertical scrolling layout further simplifies navigation, letting users access all their apps via a single page.
No word yet on when this updated Start Menu will hit the stable channels.
