The AI-generated content was shared on Trump’s Truth Social platform and depicted the 44th US President being led away from the building by law enforcement agents, all while dressed in an orange prison jumpsuit. It also featured an AI-generated Trump smiling during the event.
This recent post follows claims by Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence, suggesting the existence of evidence that the previous Democratic administration promoted the narrative of interference by Russia in the 2016 US elections. Notably, the frequency of his commentary regarding Obama has seen an uptick subsequent to Gabbard’s assertions.
The posting of the manipulated footage comes at a juncture when he is facing significant criticism for his association with the deceased financier and is being accused of mishandling the release of files associated with Epstein, who was charged with sex trafficking.
