Segway’s Navimow X3 series, capable of mowing up to 2.5 acres, has arrived in the US, offering autonomous operation and quiet performance suitable for nighttime use.
The Navimow X3 series utilizes Segway’s Exact Fusion Location System, incorporating a camera and virtual mapping, to navigate without a boundary wire. The system provides a 300-degree field of view, enabling the mower to identify and avoid over 200 types of obstacles, including pets, toys, steep slopes, and trampolines. The mower also adapts its schedule based on real-time weather forecasts, responding to conditions like rain, snow, and high temperatures.
Operating at approximately 60 dB, the Navimow X3 series is designed to minimize disturbance, even when running at night, according to Segway. Anti-theft GPS tracking is included. Mowing options can be managed via the Navimow app or through voice commands using Alexa and Google Home integrations.
The X390 is less expensive than Husqvarna’s Automower 450X EPOS, which is priced at $5,900. Husqvarna will soon release the Automower IQ lineup, with the Automower 410 iQ model starting at $2,999, covering up to 0.5 acres.
