Samsung has given the public an early glimpse into its artificial intelligence (AI) photography capabilities that will be featured in the upcoming Galaxy S26 smartphone series, a key highlight of the company’s forthcoming Unpacked event.
The Galaxy S26 phones are set to introduce a new camera system powered by Galaxy AI, designed to seamlessly integrate the processes of capturing, editing, and sharing photos and videos. According to a company representative, users will be able to leverage several advanced functions, including the ability to transform a daytime photo into a nighttime image quickly, restore missing parts of objects in pictures, capture detailed photos even in low-light conditions, and merge multiple photos into a single, cohesive result.
Video demonstrations have showcased the application of these AI tools, which will be accessible within a single application, thereby eliminating the need for separate image editing programs. The integration of these updated cameras is anticipated to be a significant part of Samsung’s mobile showcase, which is also expected to highlight other AI-focused features for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra models.
