Samsung has begun rolling out the stable version of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 series, a significant milestone in expanding its latest software update to flagship devices.

The rollout started in South Korea and is expected to reach users in the US, UK, India, and other regions soon. This follows an extensive period of beta testing, aligning with Samsung’s plans to make One UI 8, which is built on Android 16, available to its Galaxy S25 lineup.

The initial stable build of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 series is a 3.8GB update, with version numbers S938NKSU5BYI3/S938NOKR5BYI3/S938NKSU5BYI3, depending on the region. The update includes the September 1, 2025, security patch, enhancing device security.

As per the changelog, the update brings new features, including automatic call captioning and the Now Brief feature, aimed at improving user experience.

Prior to this release, stable One UI 8 was limited to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. The expansion to the Galaxy S25 series marks a significant increase in the availability of Samsung’s latest stable software release.

Samsung has not announced which other devices will receive the stable One UI 8 update in September, leaving room for a potential broader rollout. The company also plans to expand One UI 8 Watch beyond the Galaxy Watch 8 series later this year.

With the rollout of One UI 8 to the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung continues to update its devices with the latest software and features, ensuring users benefit from an improved experience, new functionalities, and enhanced security. Further details on the expansion of One UI 8 to additional devices are anticipated in the near future.
