Samsung is set to revolutionize the smartphone industry with the launch of its first tri-folding smartphone later this year, with a recent leak shedding light on its innovative folding mechanism.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to differentiate itself from competitors like Huawei’s Mate X and Mate XTs by concealing its folding screen when closed. This design choice means that, unlike some other folding smartphones that leave a portion of the screen exposed, the Galaxy Z TriFold will have a separate cover display. This not only provides an additional layer of protection for the device’s delicate folding screen but also shields it from external elements, pocket debris, and potential damage from accidental drops.
A sneak peek into the Galaxy Z TriFold’s multitasking capabilities was provided in August, giving the public a glimpse into the device’s potential. As per the rumors, Samsung is likely to unveil the Galaxy Z TriFold in October, with a release scheduled for November.
The device is speculated to come with a 6.54-inch cover screen and a 10.1-inch folding screen, weighing in at 298g. At the heart of the Galaxy Z TriFold will be the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is expected to deliver high-performance capabilities.
