Samsung is reportedly set to launch its new lineup of Android tablets, including the Galaxy Tab S11 series and a new Galaxy Tab S10 Lite model, potentially between September 4 and September 5.
This information stems from a recent leak that details specifications, color options, and European pricing for the forthcoming devices. Earlier this year, evidence emerged suggesting Samsung was developing at least three new Android tablets, including successors to the Galaxy Tab S10 and an S10 Lite variant. A Samsung executive corroborated this, confirming to Android Authority that the Galaxy Tab S11 series is indeed on its way and will adhere to Samsung’s “traditional cadence” for releases. The latest leak, published by Dealabs, provides a comprehensive overview of what consumers can expect.
According to the leak, both Wi-Fi and 5G models will be available across the Galaxy Tab S11, S11 Ultra, and S10 Lite. The premium Galaxy Tab S11 series will be offered in Gray and Silver color options, while the more budget-friendly Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is expected to come in Gray, Silver, and Red.
The leak provides an extensive breakdown of the specifications for each tablet. The Galaxy Tab S11 will feature an 11-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage configurations, and 12GB of RAM. It will be powered by the Mediatek MT6991 processor, have 13MP main and 12MP front-facing cameras, an 8,400mAh battery, and support 45W charging. The device will also include four speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.4, and S Pen support, measuring 253.8 × 165.3 × 5.5 mm and weighing 482g.
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will boast a 14.6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2960 x 1848, available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage configurations, with 12GB or 16GB of RAM. It will share the same Mediatek MT6991 processor as the Galaxy Tab S11, have 13MP main and 12MP front-facing cameras, and an 11,600mAh battery. The Ultra model will also support 45W charging, include four speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.4, and S Pen support, measuring 326.7 × 208.3 × 5.5 mm and weighing 692g.
The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite will feature a 10.9-inch display with a resolution of 2112 x 1320, available in 128GB and 256GB storage configurations, with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. It will be powered by the Exynos 1380 processor, have 8MP main and 5MP front-facing cameras, an 8,000mAh battery, and support 25W charging. The device will include two speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, and S Pen support, measuring 254.3 × 165.8 × 6.6 mm and weighing 524g.
The “traditional cadence” mentioned by the Samsung executive aligns with a September launch, as the Galaxy Tab S10 series was released in September last year. Dealabs specifies a potential launch window between September 4 and September 5. While U.S. pricing remains unconfirmed, the leak provides detailed European pricing for the new tablets.
The European launch prices for the Galaxy Tab S11 are as follows: the 12 GB / 128 GB model will cost €899 ($1,047) for Wi-Fi and €1,049 ($1,221) for Wi-Fi + 5G; the 12 GB / 256 GB model will cost €959 ($1,116) for Wi-Fi and €1,109 ($1,291) for Wi-Fi + 5G; and the 12 GB / 512 GB model will cost €1,079 ($1,256) for Wi-Fi.
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will be priced at €1,339 ($1,559) for the 12 GB / 256 GB Wi-Fi model and €1,489 ($1,733) for Wi-Fi + 5G; €1,459 ($1,698) for the 12 GB / 512 GB Wi-Fi model and €1,609 ($1,872) for Wi-Fi + 5G; and €1,759 ($2,047) for the 16 GB / 1 TB Wi-Fi model.
The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite will be available at €399 ($464) for the 6 GB / 128 GB Wi-Fi model and €459 ($523) for Wi-Fi + 5G; and €469 ($546) for the 8 GB / 256 GB Wi-Fi model and €529 ($616) for Wi-Fi + 5G.
Notably, the European launch prices for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra appear to mirror those of last year’s Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. This suggests that Samsung may not increase prices for the Ultra model, which could be favorable for U.S. consumers if similar pricing strategies are adopted there. However, official confirmation will be necessary to ascertain final pricing and availability in all markets.
