According to a report by Counterpoint Research, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 family outsold the Galaxy S24 series, with sales figures from February to December showing a 5% increase for the newer models.
The Galaxy S25 devices sold 5% more than the Galaxy S24 phones during the same period in their respective release years. Notably, the Galaxy S25 Ultra specifically sold 7% more than the S24 Ultra, indicating a strong demand for the higher-end model.
Sales for the Galaxy S25 family initially started below the S24 series in February but matched them in March and subsequently exceeded them through December. The Galaxy S25 Ultra experienced significant month-over-month sales increases in July and October, ultimately ending the year ranked among the top 10 best-selling smartphones of 2025.
The Ultra model continues to be the dominant seller within Samsung’s flagship family. The S24 Ultra accounted for 45% of its family’s sales, while the S25 Ultra represented 46%, further solidifying its position. The base S25 model held 35% of sales compared to 36% for the base S24, showing a slight decline in the base model’s share. Both the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S25+ each represented 19% of their respective family’s total sales, maintaining a consistent market share.
