Samsung is reportedly discontinuing free storage upgrades for its upcoming foldable phones, according to emails sent by Samsung Austria. The emails indicate that customers will no longer have the option for complimentary storage enhancements.
The email details offers for the new phones, stating that consumers can save up to €200 (approximately $228) on models with larger storage capacities. However, it notably lacks any mention of free storage upgrades, which had been a feature in previous launches.
This development follows recent rumors suggesting that Samsung could eliminate or reduce the availability of free storage upgrades altogether. The absence of this offer in the promotional communication may signal a shift in the company’s marketing strategy for its foldable devices.
Samsung is expected to officially unveil the new foldable phones later today, but the missing free storage upgrades could impact consumer interest and pre-order decisions.
