Samsung has started rolling out the final major operating system update for the Galaxy A73, a smartphone launched in 2022, fulfilling its commitment of four major Android upgrades since its initial release with Android 12.
The update, which is currently being distributed in several Asian countries including Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam, upgrades the device to Android 16 with One UI 8. This significant update is identified by the build number A736BXXUAGYJ1 and requires a download size of 2.5 GB. Notably, it also incorporates the September 2025 security patches, enhancing the device’s security.
Galaxy A73 owners can manually check for this update by accessing the device’s Settings, then proceeding to Software update, and finally selecting Download and install. While the update is presently available in specific regions, it is anticipated to be released in additional areas over the forthcoming days and weeks.
