Samsung has confirmed the upcoming Exynos 2600 chipset in a recent video, signaling its likely inclusion in the Galaxy S26 series, a development that has garnered significant attention in the tech community.
A YouTube video titled “The next Exynos” explicitly revealed the Exynos 2600 name, featuring a Stranger Things-style soundtrack. The clip described the chipset as “refined at the core” and “optimized at every level.” The video’s description stated that the new chip is “coming soon.” This near-official confirmation suggests that the Exynos 2600 will be integrated into the Galaxy S26 series, following Samsung’s typical practice of announcing flagship Exynos chipsets for imminent use.
The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus models are anticipated to feature either the Exynos 2600 or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, depending on the target region. In contrast, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to globally feature the Snapdragon processor. This regional variation in chipset usage is consistent with Samsung’s historical strategy.
Historically, Exynos chipsets have demonstrated greater efficiency compared to Snapdragon SoCs. The Exynos 2600 is projected to incorporate the latest Arm CPU technology, an AMD GPU, and a 2nm manufacturing process, representing a significant upgrade in terms of performance and power management.
