Huawei’s Nova 16 series surpassed 1 million unit shipments within 39 days following its market launch in June 2026, according to reports from Huaweicentral.com.
This rapid sales milestone highlights the series’ strong demand despite a generally sluggish smartphone market in China. The Nova 16 series features the Kirin 9010S chipset and operates on HarmonyOS 6.1.
Notably, the Nova 16 series achieved this figure shortly after its official sales began, marking a significant success for Huawei’s mid-range offerings. The series reportedly includes enhancements such as a 12% increase in home screen fluency, a 44% improvement in task switching, and 21% faster content loading compared to its predecessor.
In addition to the Nova 16 series, the Huawei Enjoy 90 Pro Max also demonstrated strong sales, crossing 3.1 million units within three months of its launch in April 2026. The Enjoy 90 Pro Max is priced starting at 1699 yuan and is the only smartphone in China that has outsold all iPhone 17 models.
The Enjoy 90 Pro Max introduced an in-house 5G mobile chipset for the first time in the Enjoy smartphone series, contributing to its market performance.
Huawei plans to introduce the next generation of its Nova lineup by the end of 2026, as it looks to maintain momentum in its smartphone offerings.
