Realme is gearing up for a significant launch in the Chinese smartphone market, with the highly anticipated Realme Neo 7 Pro expected to debut in May 2025. This new addition to the Neo 7 series underscores Realme’s push for high-performance devices and comes as the company prepares to unveil the Realme GT 7 this month.
Alongside the upcoming launch of the Realme GT 7, which will be equipped with MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset, Realme is also making headlines with news of another device. According to information from the prominent tipster Digital Chat Station, Realme is working on a new smartphone, tentatively named the Realme Neo 7 Pro, poised to expand the Neo 7 lineup in China. The anticipated launch in May signals Realme’s ongoing commitment to offering devices with advanced performance capabilities.
To date, Realme has introduced three models in its Neo 7 series in China: the Neo 7, Neo 7 SE, and Neo 7x. The Neo 7 features the Dimensity 9300 Plus processor, the Neo 7 SE is powered by the Dimensity 8400, and the Neo 7x utilizes the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset. Now, with the arrival of the Realme Neo 7 Pro, the company is set to introduce a fourth variant, further diversifying its lineup and appealing to performance-oriented users.
The Realme Neo 7 Pro is reported to be powered by MediaTek’s newly developed Dimensity 9400e chipset. This new chipset serves as an updated version of the Dimensity 9400, featuring certain custom-tuned cores that enhance its performance. Although the Dimensity 9400e is not considered a major upgrade over its predecessor, it is positioned to offer superior performance compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, according to leaks.
Benchmark results for the Dimensity 9400e reveal impressive figures, with the chipset achieving approximately 2.1 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark. In graphics performance, it reportedly reaches around 95 frames per second in the Aztec 1440p graphics test. These scores suggest that the Realme Neo 7 Pro will stand as a high-performance smartphone boasting flagship-grade specifications, potentially outperforming some of its direct competitors.
Competition in this segment is expected to be fierce, as several other brands are launching devices this month featuring similarly advanced chipsets. The Realme Neo 7 Pro will go head-to-head with the OnePlus Ace 5V, which also uses the Dimensity 9400e, as well as the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro and Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, both powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. This competition highlights the growing emphasis on top-tier performance in the Chinese smartphone market.
While excitement builds around the forthcoming Realme Neo 7 Pro, specific details regarding its display, camera system, and battery capacity remain under wraps. According to the latest leaks, the official launch is slated for May 2025 in China, but Realme has yet to confirm the exact date or disclose additional hardware specifications.
