Google Messenger users on Android can now add reactions to text messages, making conversations more engaging and fun. This feature is available when all chat participants have an Android device with RCS enabled and the Google Messenger app installed.

Before utilizing this feature, ensure that all prerequisites are met. This includes having the Google Messenger app installed on an Android device and confirming that all participants in the chat have RCS enabled on their Android devices.

To add a reaction to a text message, users can follow a series of straightforward steps. First, open the Google Messenger app, identifiable by its white speech bubble icon on a blue background, which can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store if not already installed.

It is crucial that all participants in the chat have an Android device with RCS enabled, as this functionality will not work otherwise. Once this is confirmed, tap and hold the message you wish to react to. Upon doing so, a menu featuring various facial reactions will appear, allowing the user to select their preferred reaction.

The available reactions include the eye-hearts emoji, indicating love for the message, as well as other options such as thumbs up, laugh, shocked, sad, angry, and thumbs down. The chosen reaction will be displayed in the bottom left corner of the message.

If a user wishes to change their reaction, they can tap and hold the message again and select a new emoji from the menu. To remove a reaction, tap and hold the message once more, then tap the highlighted emoji in the menu.

Experimenting with different reactions can add variety to conversations and make them more lively. Now that users are familiar with reacting to messages in Google Messenger, they can explore other features within the app to further enhance their messaging experience.

Additionally, users can familiarize themselves with group chat settings to better manage their conversations. For those interested in exploring alternative messaging platforms, considering other apps and their unique features can help determine which one best suits their needs and preferences.
