Nvidia has introduced the Jetson AGX Thor Developer Kit, a compact platform featuring the Jetson T5000 system-on-module, designed for edge AI deployments.

The Jetson T5000 is built around a 2560-core GPU based on the Blackwell architecture, delivering a claimed performance of 2070 TFLOPS (FP4, Sparse). It also incorporates 96 fifth-generation Tensor Cores and Multi-Instance GPU features. The system is complemented by a 14-core Arm Neoverse-V3AE CPU and 128GB of LPDDR5X memory.

The Jetson AGX Thor’s networking capabilities are facilitated by four 25GbE connections, alongside support for NVMe storage through PCIe. The developer kit is equipped to handle video encoding and decoding across multiple 4K and 8K streams.

In addition to the T5000, Nvidia is developing a lower-end option, the Jetson T4000. Preliminary specifications for the T4000 include a performance of “1200 TFLOPS (FP4, Sparse),” a 1536-core GPU, and 64GB of memory.

The Jetson modules are designed to operate within a specific power envelope. The T5000 is rated between 40 and 130 watts, while the T4000 is rated between 40 and 75 watts. These power ranges allow for flexibility in various deployment scenarios.

The developer kit includes a reference carrier board equipped with a WiFi 6E module, a 1TB NVMe SSD, and standard debugging interfaces. For networking, it features a QSFP28 interface with four 25GbE channels and a 5GbE RJ45 connector, emphasizing its suitability for sensor-heavy applications. Expansion is supported through M.2 slots, and display outputs include HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.4a, along with multiple USB ports.

The dimensions of the Jetson AGX Thor are 243.19 x 112.4 x 56.88 mm, which is larger than a typical business PC but still compact compared to most workstation PC designs. Nvidia is positioning the Jetson AGX Thor as a platform for humanoid robotics, visual AI systems, and sensor integration, supported by the company’s Isaac, Metropolis, and Holoscan software frameworks.

The Jetson AGX Thor Developer Kit is priced at $3,499 and is available for pre-order through selected distributors. Shipments are expected to commence on November 20, 2025.
