Nintendo’s new Pro Controller is here to tag along with the newly detailed Switch 2, boasting remappable rear buttons and a fresh design.
The updated Pro Controller includes “GL” and “GR” buttons on the rear grips for remapping controls, plus a “C” button for voice and video chats, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
While the layout mirrors the original Switch version, Nintendo swapped the semitransparent plastic for a matte black finish and glossy white accents on the top edge.
Like the first-gen Pro Controller, this version offers a more traditional layout compared to the standard Joy-Cons, featuring larger buttons and triggers for enhanced comfort.
Nintendo has a history of releasing secondary controller options, including the Classic Controller for the Wii and the initial Pro Controller for the Wii U.
The price remains unannounced, but the original Switch Pro Controller sells for $69.99. While unconfirmed, the new Pro Controller will likely launch with the Switch 2 on June 5th.
