Nintendo is set to host its Indie World Showcase livestream on March 3 at 9AM ET, promising approximately 15 minutes of news and updates on indie games for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.
This highly anticipated event will focus exclusively on third-party indie titles, providing a much-needed platform for smaller developers to reach the console’s large installed base, rather than major first-party Nintendo franchises.
Yacht Club Games has announced that Mina the Hollower is slated to launch for consoles this spring, with a potential release date announcement during the upcoming showcase. Additionally, Scott Pilgrim EX, a side-scrolling fighter featuring four-player co-op and music by Anamanaguchi, will be available for download on March 3, with a launch trailer expected during the event.
Witchbrook, a life-sim game set in a magical school published by Chucklefish, has been highlighted as a highly anticipated title. The previous Indie World Showcase took place in August, featuring trailers and announcements for games including Ball x Pit and Mina the Hollower.
Nintendo has confirmed that the event will not include major franchises like Mario or Zelda, and it is also unlikely to spotlight Pokémon Pokopia, which is scheduled to launch on March 5.
Nintendo is a Japanese multinational consumer electronics and video game company headquartered in Kyoto, with its common stock listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
