NFT sales surged to $574 million in July, marking the second-highest monthly volume in 2025, according to CryptoSlam, representing a 47.6% increase from June’s $388.9 million.

This significant growth, although below January’s peak of $678.9 million, indicates a resurgence in the NFT market. While sales volume increased, the number of NFT transactions decreased by 9%, dropping from 5.5 million to 5 million.

Conversely, the average NFT sale value climbed to $113.08, the highest in six months, suggesting a growing interest in higher-priced assets. The number of unique NFT buyers decreased by 17% to 713,085, while unique sellers increased by 9% to 405,505.

This discrepancy suggests a consolidation of buyers making larger purchases. The overall NFT market capitalization stands at over $8 billion, a 21% increase from its $6.6 billion valuation on July 24, according to NFT Price Floor.

Ethereum-based collections dominated the NFT landscape in July, coinciding with a surge in Ether’s price, which exceeded $3,900, a 62% increase from its August 1 price of approximately $2,400. All of the top 10 NFT collections by market capitalization are Ethereum-based, according to NFT Price Floor data.

CryptoPunks led in total value traded over the last 30 days, with over $69.2 million, followed by Pudgy Penguins at $55.5 million. Courtyard NFTs, based on Polygon, held the third position with $23.8 million. Pudgy Penguins demonstrated substantial growth, with a 65.44% increase in floor prices, outpacing other prominent collections like Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC).

Ethereum’s blockchain recorded $275.6 million in NFT sales, representing a 56% growth. Bitcoin and Polygon followed with $74.3 million and $71.6 million in sales, respectively. Cardano experienced the most significant percentage growth in NFT sales at 102%, while Solana saw a modest 8% increase.

Despite ranking among the top blockchains for NFT sales, Polygon’s sales volume decreased by 51.1% from the previous month. BNB Chain also experienced a 54% decrease in NFT sales.
