Natural, a company developing AI agents, raised $30 million in funding. The Series A funding round for Natural was led by Kirsten Green from Forerunner Ventures.
Natural’s funding round included participation from various investors, including Aarmaan Ali and Barış Akış, founders of Human Capital, Ramtin Naimi, founder of Abstract, and Nichole Wischoff, founder of Wischoff Ventures, among others.
Founded in 2025, Natural has raised over $40 million to date. The company plans to use the new investment to develop a financial infrastructure that allows AI agents to make autonomous payments, expand its team, and create a payment network to compete with existing payment giants like Stripe.
Natural was founded by Kahlil Lalji, Eric Wang, and Walt Leung. The company is developing a next-generation payment infrastructure that enables AI agents to conduct financial transactions independently. Natural believes current payment systems, which rely on human approval, limit the ability of AI agents to operate autonomously.
The infrastructure being developed by Natural will allow businesses to automate supplier sourcing, price comparison, purchasing, and payment processes. The company aims to redesign not only product purchasing processes but also other components of financial infrastructure, such as managing payment disputes.
Natural is positioning itself as a financial infrastructure provider for AI agents, aiming to compete with existing payment giants. The company argues that AI agents will conduct significantly more transactions than humans in the future, necessitating a new payment system.
