Motorola has unveiled the Razr Fold, its first book-style foldable, at MWC 2026, making a significant entry into the growing foldable market with a device that promises to set new performance standards.
The Razr Fold features an 8.1-inch internal display with a peak brightness of 6,200 nits and an external screen reaching 6,000 nits, significantly exceeding the brightness of competitors such as the Pixel 10 Fold Pro, which peaks at 3,000 nits.
The device is designed to offer high performance, utilizing a silicon-carbon 6,000mAh battery, a capacity significantly larger than its rivals. It supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, and despite its advanced features, it measures 4.6mm thin when open and 9.9mm when closed.
The main 2K LTPO display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate, while the external screen offers a 1,080p resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. Both panels support Dolby Vision, enhancing the visual experience for users. Under the hood, the Razr Fold is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and includes a liquid-cooling system to manage performance and heat.
The camera system on the Razr Fold is comprehensive, comprising five sensors: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom. It also includes a 32MP internal selfie camera and a 20MP external selfie camera. Motorola claims that the device holds the highest DXOMARK camera score among foldables, indicating its strong photographic capabilities.
Motorola is also supporting the Razr Fold with its new Pen Ultra stylus, enhancing the device’s functionality and user experience. Although the company has not announced pricing or availability, the Razr Fold is expected to launch in North America in the coming months.
