Swedish AI startup Lovable has achieved a remarkable milestone, surpassing $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) just eight months after its launch, making it the fastest-ever software company to reach that milestone.

Lovable, co-founded by Anton Osika in 2023, operates a generative AI platform that enables users without technical backgrounds to build websites and applications using simple text prompts. The company has garnered significant traction, with over 2.3 million active users who have built more than 10 million projects on the platform. Notably, over 100,000 new projects are being created daily, underscoring the platform’s popularity and utility.

The startup’s rapid growth has been accompanied by significant investment. Last week, Lovable announced a $200 million Series A funding round led by Accel, with participation from 20VC, byFounders, Creandum, Hummingbird, and Visionaries Club. This substantial investment valued the company at $1.8 billion, further solidifying its position in the market.

Lovable has also made significant advancements to its platform, upgrading it to be “fully agentic.” This enhancement enables the platform to autonomously search the web, debug code, and edit applications without human intervention, marking a substantial leap in its capabilities. Alongside this technical update, the company introduced a new Business Plan targeting enterprise customers. This plan includes features such as reusable templates, self-serve SSO, private projects, and a data opt-out option, designed to meet the needs of larger organizations. Early adopters of this new plan include prominent companies like Klarna, Hubspot, and Photoroom.
