LG is set to unveil its first Micro RGB television, the LG Micro RGB evo, at CES 2026, with preliminary details released ahead of the event.

Micro RGB technology utilizes individually controlled red, green, and blue micro-LEDs in the backlight, enabling it to produce any hue and deliver a wider color array compared to traditional mini-LED screens. This technology positions itself between OLED’s pixel-level precision and standard mini-LED displays, offering enhanced color performance.

The LG Micro RGB evo features an upgraded AI upscaling engine to improve image quality. It has been certified by Intertek for 100 percent coverage of the BT.2020, DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB color gamuts. Additionally, it includes more than 1,000 dimming zones for precise brightness control.

Samsung introduced a Micro RGB model earlier this year, priced at $29,999 in a 115-inch size. In contrast, LG’s Micro RGB evo will be available in 100-inch, 86-inch, and 75-inch sizes. Despite the smaller dimensions, LG expects the Micro RGB evo to command high prices.

CES 2026 is scheduled to take place from January 6 to January 9 in Las Vegas. Engadget will provide on-site coverage, including live-blogs of key press conferences, hands-on previews, news articles, round-ups, and analyses.
