Lenovo Unveils ThinkBook VertiFlex Concept with Rotating Screen

Lenovo has unveiled the ThinkBook VertiFlex Concept, a 14-inch Windows PC with a rotating screen, at the IFA trade show in Berlin, following a recent leak on X.

The ThinkBook VertiFlex Concept is described by Lenovo as a laptop designed for TikTok enthusiasts, featuring a design similar to Samsung’s Sero TVs, which also rotate from landscape to portrait mode. However, the Sero has faced challenges in moving beyond its novelty perception.

As a concept device, the future market availability of the ThinkBook VertiFlex remains uncertain. Many futuristic concepts showcased at events like CES and IFA never reach the market, although Lenovo’s ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable, a laptop with a rolling display, is a notable exception, having become available for purchase two years after its introduction at a price of $3,499.

The ThinkBook VertiFlex Concept’s details are currently limited, primarily highlighting its rotating screen feature. Lenovo has disclosed that the device features a 14-inch screen and has a slim profile, measuring 0.7 inches in thickness and weighing 3.06 pounds, making it slightly thicker but lighter than Apple’s 15-inch MacBook Air.

In vertical mode, the device can be paired with Android smartphones via the Lenovo Smart Connect app, allowing for file transfer and phone mirroring.

An image provided by Lenovo reveals the device’s island-style keyboard, large trackpad, raised webcam notch, and various ports, including HDMI, two Thunderbolt ports, and a microSD card slot.

Key specifications, such as screen type, processor details, the durability of the rotation mechanism, and pricing, remain undisclosed. It is uncertain whether this information will be revealed, as the ThinkBook VertiFlex Concept is currently only a concept device.
