Samsung is set to release the stable One UI 7 update for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE this summer, but a leaked internal test build has already been installed on a device.

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE is not part of Samsung’s One UI 7 beta testing program, and according to the company, it is supposed to receive the stable update this summer. However, X user @Alfaturk16 has shared a video and screenshots showing that their Galaxy Tab S9 FE is already running One UI 7 using a leaked build.

The leaked firmware, version X516BXXU7CYD1, includes the April 2025 security patch and is 3.6GB in size. The video shared on X displays the firmware version, the tablet’s model number, and several One UI 7 features, including the Now Bar and the relocated app drawer search bar.

Although the UI animations appear somewhat choppy in the video, this could be attributed to the screen recorder used. It’s worth noting that this is a leaked internal test build, indicating that the update is likely not yet ready for widespread deployment.

Samsung has already released the stable One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in Korea, with more countries expected to follow starting April 10. The official release schedule for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE is set for June, while the non-FE Tab S9 models are expected to receive the update in May.

For those seeking earlier access to One UI 7 on their tablet, the new Galaxy Tab S10 FE series comes with Samsung’s latest firmware pre-installed. Additionally, upgrading from the Galaxy Tab S9 FE through Samsung’s trade-in program might be a viable and cost-effective option, provided the program is available in their market.
