Google is accepting applications for its Gemini App Trusted Tester program, offering a limited number of slots for users to test upcoming features before their public launch. Selected participants will gain early access to unreleased Gemini features.
Josh Woodward, VP of Gemini at Google, announced the program on X, stating it is aimed at “power users” who enjoy testing new technology and providing feedback. Interested individuals can apply through a Google Form linked in the announcement.
The application requires basic information, including name, region, and age, along with inquiries about the applicant’s profession and frequency of AI tool usage. Google also seeks to understand applicants’ experience with competing AI assistants, such as ChatGPT and Claude.
The company has not disclosed how many users will be accepted into the program, the specific benefits for testers, or when invitations will be sent. The focus appears to be on gathering feedback from experienced AI users prior to a broader release of new features.
Upon completing the application form, users will receive a confirmation of their responses and additional details via email. However, submitting the form does not guarantee acceptance into the program, and Google will notify applicants regarding their selection status.
