Huawei is reportedly planning to release a more affordable version of its Watch Ultimate in 2025, potentially featuring premium specifications and advancements over previous models, according to Weibo tipster @FixedFocus.
The original Watch Ultimate Design, Huawei’s first satellite smartwatch, was launched in 2023 at a price of 5999 yuan, approximately $878 USD. The following year, Huawei introduced the Watch Ultimate Design Sapphire Gold, a significantly more expensive iteration priced at 23999 yuan. These releases demonstrated the company’s trend of integrating advanced technologies into its wearables, often accompanied by increased pricing.
Although details regarding the specific features, improvements, and pricing of the supposed 2025 Watch Ultimate Design remain undisclosed, its rumored existence suggests that a new “Ultimate Design” model is in development, potentially offering additional benefits to consumers.
Recently, Huawei unveiled the high-end Watch Ultimate Design Sapphire + Gold Edition alongside the Mate 70 and Mate X6 foldable phones. This luxurious wearable is the result of over 70 intricate processes, featuring golden knife-like patterns and 18K gold bars. The watch case is crafted from an ultra-strong amorphous zirconium alloy, and the strap is made from aerospace-grade titanium alloy, making the device 4.5 times stronger and 2.5 times stiffer than its predecessor.
The Watch Ultimate Design Sapphire + Gold Edition boasts several advanced features, including two-way satellite SMS capability and UWB smart car control. This allows users to unlock their vehicles directly from the smartwatch, eliminating the need for a smartphone.
