A recent leak has shed light on the camera arrangement of the upcoming Huawei Pura 80 smartphone, specifically the vanilla variant, revealing a design that closely resembles its predecessor, the Pura 70.
The camera setup features a triangular framework with three distinct lens rings positioned at each corner, and the LED flash is situated between the primary and ultrawide-angle lenses. The XMAGE branding is prominently displayed below the LED flash, consistent with Huawei’s established camera technology.
According to the leak, the primary and ultrawide-angle sensors on the Pura 80 are identical to those found on the Pura 70. However, the most significant change is observed in the third lens ring, positioned in the middle of the module. This ring is notably larger than the other two and houses two periscope lenses alongside a smaller sensor, which is likely a multispectral lens.
The vanilla Huawei Pura 80 is expected to be equipped with a 1-inch 50MP primary camera and a 40MP lens for ultrawide shots. The third ring is reported to contain a 50MP 1/1.3-inch dual focal length periscope lens and a 2MP multi-spectral lens, which is expected to enhance accurate color restoration in images.
The inclusion of a dual-focal length periscope lens is a key highlight, allowing the camera system to achieve both wide-angle and telephoto zoom capabilities while maintaining a relatively slim profile for the device.
