Google is launching an AI security model designed to quickly identify and patch security vulnerabilities. The model, named Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber, is presented as a cost-efficient alternative to larger AI systems, such as Anthropic’s Mythos, according to a blog post by Google on Tuesday.
Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber is based on the existing Gemini 3.5 Flash framework. It will initially be available to governments and trusted partners through CodeMender, Google’s security-focused coding agent. Google stated that CodeMender can utilize 3.5 Flash Cyber multiple times at high speed and low cost, enabling AI agents to scan more code paths and identify vulnerabilities effectively.
The development of Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber reflects Google’s ongoing efforts to enhance cybersecurity through accessible AI solutions. The company aims to provide robust security tools that meet the needs of various users while reducing costs associated with advanced AI systems.
