Samsung’s ultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge, initially slated for April, is now expected to debut in May or June, according to ETNews. The delay, communicated to South Korean telecom carriers, isn’t due to quality issues but potentially linked to the recent death of Samsung DX head, JH Han.
Instead of a large event, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge at an online event, revealing its price and release date. The 256GB version is rumored to cost around KRW 1.5 million (~$1,023).
Reported specifications for the Galaxy S25 Edge include:
- Screen: 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x.
- Chip: Snapdragon 8 Elite.
- Rear camera: 200MP + 12MP dual-camera system.
- Front camera: 12MP.
- Battery: 3,900mAh.
- Colors: Black, blue, and silver.
Samsung plans to manufacture approximately 3 million Galaxy S25 Edge units. This model could represent about 10% of the total Galaxy S25 series shipments, which are projected to reach 37 million units.
