The Early Access beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will run from August 21 to August 25, 2026, for players who pre-order the game on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The Open Beta will take place from August 28 to September 1, 2026. This phase will be available to all players across all platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2.
The official launch date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is set for October 23, 2026.
The Call of Duty: NEXT event is scheduled for August 21, 2026, immediately before the Early Access beta begins.
Players can unlock as many as 19 different weapons during the beta, which will include modes such as Search & Destroy and the new Kill Block.
The Early Access beta will not be available on Nintendo Switch 2, as pre-orders for that platform do not begin until August 26, 2026.
Pre-ordering the Vault Edition of Modern Warfare 4 will grant access to specific operators and weapons during the beta.
The beta will feature a Training Mobility Course to help players learn game mechanics.
Players who pre-order can access the beta immediately after the Call of Duty: NEXT livestream.
The beta will include both small-scale 3v3 skirmishes and larger tactical battles featuring tanks.
The beta will allow players to build loadouts with the new Gunny system.
Additionally, the multiplayer beta will feature 12 new maps, new weapons, operators, and modes.
The beta will be accessible on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
