Apple has seeded release candidates for macOS 14.8.6 and macOS Sequoia 15.7.6 following the recent release of macOS 14.8.5 and macOS 15.7.5.
The new builds include the first developer betas of macOS 26.5, iOS 26.5, and iPadOS 26.5. There were no prior beta releases before today’s rollout, indicating a potential public release may occur soon.
Previous updates, macOS Sonoma 14.8.5 and macOS Sequoia 15.7.5, addressed 60 distinct vulnerabilities, including one that could allow an application to gain root privileges.
Release notes for macOS Sonoma 14.8.6 and macOS Sequoia 15.7.6 have not yet been published. Apple has not specified when these documents will be available.
