Hollow Knight: Silksong, a highly anticipated game, reportedly attracted five million players in its first week despite not being initially released on smartphones. However, advancements in Windows-to-Android emulation now enable players to run the Steam version on flagship Android devices.

GameSir, a Chinese mobile gamepad manufacturer, has released GameHub 5.0, an app designed to simplify Windows-on-phone emulation. The new version includes key features that distinguish it from other emulation tools, making it easier for users to play PC games on their mobile devices.

One notable feature of GameHub 5.0 is its ability to automatically configure the necessary graphics drivers, translation layer, and other components upon launching a game. This eliminates the need for manual setup, which was previously required with tools like Winlator and GameNative, thereby streamlining the emulation process.

The app also supports downloading Steam cloud save files from a PC, allowing players to continue their game progress seamlessly on their mobile devices. Users can log into their Steam account, install Silksong, enable cloud saves, and start playing directly on their phones, providing a convenient gaming experience.

As of September 11th, GameSir was actively developing the reverse sync functionality, which would enable save files to be uploaded back to the PC. However, this feature was not yet functional for Silksong, indicating that further development is needed to complete the syncing capabilities.
