Capcom has revealed significant updates for Street Fighter 6, announcing the release date for Elena, the final ‘Year 2’ DLC character, and confirming the game’s launch on the Nintendo Switch 2, both set for June 5th, 2025.

Elena, originally from Street Fighter III: New Generation, will be playable in all Street Fighter 6 modes: World Tour, Battle Hub, and Fighting Ground. The character is set to “dance into” the game with nature and wildlife at her side, as announced by Capcom on their official Street Fighter social media channels. This addition will enrich the gameplay experience, offering players a new character to master.

The Switch 2 version of Street Fighter 6 will include “all characters and stages from both Year 1 and Year 2 DLC.” The full roster of characters available from day one includes Ryu, Luke, Jamie, Chun-Li, Kimberly, Juri, Ken, Blanka, Dhalsim, E.Honda, Dee Jay, Manon, Marisa, JP, Zangief, Lily, Cammy, Rashid (Year 1), A.K.I (Year 1), Ed (Year 1), Akuma (Year 1), M.Bison (Year 2), Terry (Year 2), Mai (Year 2), and Elena (Year 2). This comprehensive roster promises a diverse and engaging fighting experience.

In addition to the game itself, Capcom will release a 22 amiibo card set and three amiibo figures based on Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly. These amiibo will allow players to save and load their character’s outfit and control style, as well as receive special items, enhancing the overall gameplay and customization options.

Street Fighter 6 on the Switch 2 will also feature cross-platform support at a “smooth 60fps.” The game will include new modes such as Gyro Battle, where players use gyro controls, and Calorie Contest, where players aim to burn as many calories as possible using the Joy-Con 2 controllers. These features are designed to offer a fresh and dynamic gaming experience on the Nintendo Switch 2.
