Google’s Gemini Spark, the company’s AI agent designed for task completion and background monitoring, is now more widely available to paying users. Starting today, Gemini Spark can be accessed by U.S. customers on the $20 per month Google AI Pro tier.
Internationally, users must subscribe to Google AI Ultra, which begins at approximately $100, varying by market. However, users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, Switzerland, and Nigeria will not have access to Gemini Spark at this time.
Google stated in its support documents that users without access to Spark should not be concerned, as the company plans to “rapidly expand access to more users and businesses over the coming weeks.”
Gemini Spark is based on the Gemini 3.5 model. It is designed to function in the background, providing daily summaries of tasks by analyzing users’ calendars, documents, notes, and inboxes.
Similar AI agents are offered by competitors, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT Work and Anthropic’s Claude Cowork, both of which are available only on paid tiers starting around $20 per month. Unlike Gemini Spark, these alternatives are available to users in Europe and the UK.
