Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event did not include the anticipated Galaxy Buds Able, leaving audio enthusiasts disappointed. The event featured three foldable phones, two smartwatches, and augmented reality glasses, but the new earbuds were notably absent.

A report from the Korean publication Electronic Times indicates that the Galaxy Buds Able are now expected to be announced by the end of the year. The earbuds are reportedly set for a release in the fourth quarter, with some speculation pointing to September or October.

This timeline suggests the possibility of the new earbuds launching alongside upcoming tablets or Fan Edition devices expected later this year. Samsung had initially planned to launch the Galaxy Buds Able alongside its foldable devices but postponed the release to assess product quality and timing.

The delay implies that Samsung is aiming for a high standard, especially given the competitive landscape dominated by brands like Shokz and Bose. The complexities of developing open earbuds, particularly the ear-cuff or clipping designs, necessitate a focus on audio fidelity and fit.

Samsung is unlikely to proceed with the launch until it meets its quality benchmarks. Consumers should mark their calendars for a possible September or October announcement as further details emerge.
