Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 6 chipset, model number SM8475, has leaked online prior to its official release. The upcoming chipset is expected to succeed the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, which was unveiled in May 2026. Built on TSMC’s 4nm process, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 6 features two Kryo Gold CPU cores and six Kryo Silver CPU cores.
The new chipset includes an upgrade in graphics processing with the Adreno 6 series GPU, replacing the Adreno 4 series used in the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5. Additionally, it will support dual-channel LPDDR5 RAM at speeds of up to 3,200 MHz.
Qualcomm will offer four chip options for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs): WCN3998-2 (Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2), WCN3988 (Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1), WCN6750 (Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2), and WCN6450 (Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0). The Snapdragon 4 Gen 6 is also anticipated to introduce a dedicated digital signal processor (DSP) and AI processor for the first time in the Snapdragon 4 series.
