French streaming service Deezer announced that fully AI-generated music recordings surpassed 50% of new music uploads on its platform for the first time in June 2026, equating to approximately 90,000 AI tracks, according to a press release.
In response to concerns over streaming fraud, Deezer stated it will remove any AI tracks suspected of being involved in such scams, as well as those that have not been streamed in over six months. The company previously reported that up to 85% of streams on fully AI tracks were fraudulent, leading to the exclusion of manipulated streams from royalty payments.
