Halliday’s Gen 2 smart glasses are set to ship in September 2026. The glasses retail for $599 and are currently available for pre-order.
The Halliday G2 glasses feature a monochrome display that overlays a field of green text into the user’s field of view. Unlike other smart glasses, the G2 model does not include a camera.
The main application for the glasses is called “Meeting Flow,” which provides real-time AI assistance during work meetings. This app allows the glasses to monitor conversations, offer helpful tips, and keep a transcription of meetings.
Users can rewind 30 seconds during meetings to catch up on missed information. The Halliday G2 glasses also have a battery life of 12 hours during normal usage and weigh 49 grams.
The display resolution is 600×300 per eye, with a brightness that can reach up to 1600 Nits. The glasses are equipped with onboard speakers and can activate microphones for meetings and phone calls using AI voice commands.
Carter Hou, Halliday’s COO and co-founder, stated, “We’re not building a tool for entertainment. It’s a tool to help our users improve the efficiency of their work life and their life-life.” The glasses aim to enhance productivity rather than serve as a general-purpose device.
In addition to meeting functionalities, Halliday envisions future applications for the glasses in various settings, including interviews and medical appointments, to assist users in navigating conversations more effectively.
