Patent images shared by FixedFocus and additional renders from tipsters indicate that the Mate XT 2 will feature an external display for the first time. This U-shaped form factor enhances the device’s durability and reliability.
Users will be able to perform certain tasks, such as making calls, replying to messages, and scanning QR codes for payments, without needing to unfold the device. This functionality represents a significant advancement over earlier models.
Another anticipated change is the camera module, which may adopt a large, circular design similar to that of the Mate 50. The Mate XT 2 may also incorporate a leather back panel, providing a rugged texture.
