Google has begun rolling out Wear OS 7 to compatible Pixel Watch models alongside the stable release of Android 17. The update aims to introduce new features and system improvements, with Google claiming enhanced battery life.
The Wear OS 7 update is currently available for the Pixel Watch 2, Pixel Watch 3, and the latest Pixel Watch 4. According to Google, the update can improve battery life by up to 10% compared to its predecessor, Wear OS 6.
New features in Wear OS 7 include Live Updates, which provide real-time information from supported apps directly on the smartwatch. The update also allows users to control media playback across all connected devices.
In addition, Google confirmed that Wear OS 7 will support its upcoming Android XR-powered smart glasses, which are developed in collaboration with Samsung. This feature will enable users to control the smart glasses directly from their Pixel Watch.
Google announced that the Gemini Intelligence features introduced last month will be available on select Pixel Watch models later this year.
