Google announced that the Google Home Speaker will be available on June 25 for $99.99, following its initial teaser in August 2022 and unveiling in October 2022.
The speaker will be offered in four colors: Jade, Berry, Porcelain, and Hazel, with Jade and Berry being exclusive to the U.S. Pre-orders are currently available through the Google Store.
The Google Home Speaker is equipped with a quad-core CPU utilizing Cortex-A55 cores, along with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage. It features a 58mm full-range driver for omni-directional sound, three far-field microphones, and a hardware microphone mute switch. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, and it can function as a Thread 1.3 border router.
Users can pair the speaker with a Google TV Streamer to enhance their living room experience with spatial surround sound. The device integrates Gemini, which includes ten new natural-sounding voices and offers Gemini Live for more interactive conversations.
Gemini also allows users to receive updates about activity captured by Nest cameras and provides summaries of household events during their absence.
