OnePlus is preparing to expand its Ace 5 lineup with the forthcoming launch of the OnePlus Ace 5V, a new smartphone that is generating attention due to its rumored high-end specifications and potential global reach.
The OnePlus Ace 5 family, which currently includes the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, is set to welcome the Ace 5V as its latest addition. This new device is positioned as the successor to the Ace 3V, a model that made its debut in March. With the arrival of the Ace 5V, OnePlus aims to further enhance its presence in the competitive smartphone market by introducing advanced features and updated hardware.
At the core of the OnePlus Ace 5V is MediaTek’s yet-to-be-announced Dimensity 9350 system-on-chip (SoC). According to information shared by well-known Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station, the Dimensity 9350 can be described as a “Dimensity 9300++,” hinting at it being an enhanced version of the existing Dimensity 9300 chipset. This new SoC is reportedly designed to go head-to-head with Qualcomm’s forthcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite, the anticipated successor to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Compared to its predecessor, the Dimensity 9350 is expected to deliver minor performance upgrades while also achieving slightly lower power consumption, making it a promising option for users seeking efficiency and speed.
The display of the OnePlus Ace 5V is set to impress, featuring a “1.5K” resolution flat screen complemented by small bezels. This design choice is aimed at offering users a more immersive and modern viewing experience. Beyond the display, one of the most notable features of the Ace 5V is its substantial 7,000 mAh battery capacity. Such a large battery is significant in today’s smartphone landscape, promising extended usage times that will appeal to power users and those who prioritize long battery life.
While OnePlus has not yet announced an official launch date for the Ace 5V, reports suggest that the device is still a few weeks away from being made official. In the interim, additional details and specifications are likely to emerge as anticipation builds around this release.
Historically, OnePlus has a track record of rebranding its Ace V-series phones for international markets. The Ace 3V, for example, was modified and introduced globally as the OnePlus Nord 4. This precedent suggests that the Ace 5V could eventually see an international launch under the name OnePlus Nord 5, making it accessible to a broader audience outside China.
