Nvidia has launched the DLSS 4.5 update, introducing AI-powered frame generation modes for GeForce RTX graphics cards. This update, integrated into the new Nvidia app beta, enables performance and image quality enhancements across more than 20 gaming titles.
The DLSS 4.5 update’s highlight is the 6x Multi Frame Generation feature available for RTX 50-series GPUs. This mode, employing a second-generation transformer AI model, generates five additional frames for each natively rendered frame, resulting in improved visual output with minimal impact on responsiveness. Prior iterations of DLSS allowed for a maximum of three additional frames.
Additionally, the beta update introduces Dynamic Frame Generation. This feature adjusts Multi Frame Generation levels automatically, balancing frame rate, image quality, and responsiveness for an optimal gaming experience. Users can enable it for specific games or configure it to apply globally through the Nvidia app’s Graphics tab.
The update also adds a new DLSS Frame Generation Model for both GeForce RTX 40 Series and 50 Series users. This model enhances the appearance of in-game user interfaces, including mini maps. The rollout coincides with new Super Resolution updates for games like ARC Raiders and Marvel Rivals, expanding the list of supported titles announced earlier at CES.
