Learn how to screen record on your iPhone with this step-by-step guide, which provides instructions on enabling and using the screen recording feature effectively.

Before you start, ensure your iPhone is updated and that you have enough available storage space. To check your available storage, open the Settings app, tap General, then tap About, and look for Available to see your available space in GB.

To enable screen recording, open the Settings app, tap Control Center, and tap + next to Screen Recording to add it to your Control Center. You can also move its position by tapping and dragging the three lines icon.

To start a screen recording, unlock your phone, open the Control Center by swiping down on the top-right corner of the screen (on iPhone X and later) or swiping up from the bottom edge (on iPhone SE, iPhone 8, and earlier), and tap the Screen Recording icon, which looks like a filled circle inside a circle outline.

You’ll see a 3-second countdown on the Screen Recording icon, allowing you to navigate to a different screen, homepage, or app before recording starts. Once recording begins, a red circle will appear over the current time in the top-left corner of the screen, indicating an active screen recording.

To stop screen recording, tap the red circle in the top-left corner and then tap Stop, or open the Control Center again and tap the Screen Recording icon. Screen recordings will be automatically saved to your Photos.

To free up more space for additional screen recordings, you can upload videos to iCloud and delete them on your iPhone. Regularly checking your available storage will ensure a smooth recording experience.

Once you have mastered screen recording on your iPhone, consider exploring other features of the iOS operating system to enhance your productivity, such as editing and sharing your screen recordings with friends or colleagues.

Keeping your iPhone updated will ensure you have the latest features and security improvements, elevating your overall user experience.
