Picsart has launched an AI agent marketplace, enabling creators to utilize AI assistants for various design tasks, such as resizing and remixing social content, and editing product photos for e-commerce platforms like Shopify.

The marketplace is designed to cater to Picsart’s vast user base of over 130 million worldwide, primarily comprising Gen Z creators and social media managers. By offering AI agents, Picsart aims to meet the growing demand for agentic AI chatbots that can execute requests similar to a personal assistant.

According to Hovhannes Avoyan, Picsart’s founder and CEO, the introduction of AI agents shifts the creator’s role from operator to director, allowing them to set the direction while the AI plans and executes the tasks. This development is expected to significantly enhance the creative workflow.

Initially, the marketplace features four AI agents: Flair, Resize Pro, Remix, and Swap. Picsart plans to introduce more specialized agents on a weekly basis, expanding the range of tasks that can be automated.

The Flair agent is integrated with Shopify and provides recommendations for improving online stores based on market trends. For instance, it can suggest cohesive product photo edits to enhance the visual appeal of product listings. Future updates will enable Flair to run A/B tests and offer proactive sales recommendations for underperforming products.

The Resize Pro agent is designed to resize images and videos for various social media platforms. It utilizes generative AI to extend frames for optimal sizing, aiming to achieve intentional composition rather than haphazard cropping.

The Remix agent allows creators to apply a specific style, such as “vintage film” or “cyberpunk,” to an existing photo library. Meanwhile, the Swap agent facilitates bulk background changes in photos, streamlining the editing process.

Users can interact with these AI agents through messaging applications like WhatsApp and Telegram, which are supported by Picsart via their APIs. This functionality enables creators to manage tasks from different locations, enhancing flexibility and productivity.

To address potential issues such as AI hallucinations, Picsart allows users to set “autonomy levels” for agents like Flair. This feature requires creator approval before the agent takes action, thereby mitigating the risk of unintended outcomes.
