Tencent Cloud and Tencent AI have become sponsors of the OpenClaw community, marking a significant development following a previous dispute between the entities regarding data scraping.
The sponsorship, as reported by TechNode, indicates a resolution to the conflict that had arisen between the parties. According to OpenClaw founder Peter Steinberger, this new agreement is a positive step forward. Tencent Cloud plans to provide lightweight application servers to facilitate one-click deployment of OpenClaw, aiming to reduce technical hurdles for users.
In addition to this, Tencent Cloud has initiated a free installation program in 17 Chinese cities, expanding its reach and accessibility. The company is also offering enterprise-grade security sandbox and permission management solutions to support the OpenClaw community.
This information was also published on OpenClaw’s GitHub page, providing further confirmation of the sponsorship and the details of the agreement.
