While its U.S. future hangs in the balance, TikTok is testing “TikTok for Artists,” a platform designed to boost artists’ careers with tools to promote songs, analyze performance, and connect with fans, TikTok confirmed to TechCrunch.

Currently in testing across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, and Indonesia, TikTok intends to expand the platform to more regions with a broader release.

Music Ally initially reported the platform’s launch. The TikTok for Artists website details how artists can launch promotional campaigns for upcoming releases on the social network, including engagement and monetization strategies like album pre-saves on Spotify and Apple Music, or exclusive merchandise drops.

Artists gain access to performance metrics showing the success of their posts and songs, alongside demographic data revealing where their listeners are located.

Community building is also a feature: Artists can showcase fan videos in a dedicated “Music Tab Fan Spotlight” section on their profiles.

TikTok says more details about the platform will be shared in the coming weeks.

The new platform arrives months after ByteDance discontinued TikTok Music, a music-streaming test, to refocus on enhancing TikTok’s role in driving music engagement and value for music streaming services.
