Apple is set to maintain the entry-level iPhone price at $599 for the upcoming iPhone 17e, as reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his latest Power On newsletter.
The iPhone 17e, which is “due imminently,” is expected to match the price of its predecessor, the iPhone 16e. According to Gurman, the device will come with several upgrades, including support for MagSafe charging and the A19 chip, which is also used in the base iPhone 17 model. Additionally, Apple will equip the iPhone 17e with its latest in-house cellular and wireless chips.
Gurman suggests that the iPhone 17e is positioned to rival Google’s Pixel 10a. The device is expected to target emerging economies and enterprise customers, as Apple faces heightened competition in overseas markets. Despite this, iPhone sales are rebounding in China, and Apple anticipates robust sales across Asia, particularly in China and India.
