Apple is set to expand its offerings for the Vision Pro headset by making Sony’s PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers available for separate purchase, starting November 11, for $250.

This move follows the release of Apple’s visionOS 1 wasn’t mentioned but it was mentioned as “visionOS 26” update, which has added support for the PS VR2 Sense controllers to the Vision Pro headset. According to Apple, the inclusion of these controllers will provide users with more immersive gameplay options. The PS VR2 Sense controllers boast advanced features such as six-degrees-of-freedom motion tracking, finger-touch detection, and rumble feedback, enhancing the overall gaming experience on the Vision Pro.

The announcement regarding the separate sale of the controllers coincides with the unveiling of a second-generation Vision Pro headset. This updated model is equipped with Apple’s new M5 chip, resulting in increased processing power. Additionally, it features a Dual Knit Band that includes a top strap, designed to enhance stability and user comfort. The original Vision Pro headset was priced starting at $3,499.
