Xiaomi has taken the top spot in the global smart band market in Q2 2025, according to a recent analysis by Omida and Canalys, with Huawei following closely in second place.

The report highlights a growing interest in smart bands, despite smartwatches remaining the largest segment in the wearables sector. The top five brands driving sales and market share growth are Xiaomi, Huawei, Apple, Samsung, and Noise. Xiaomi led the market by shipping 9.5 million units, accounting for an 18.9% market share, and recorded a 61% year-over-year (YoY) growth.

Huawei ranked second, with 8.8 million units sold and a 17.4% market share, representing a significant increase from the previous year when the company sold 6 million units and held a 13.5% share. Huawei’s growth is now at a pace of 47% YoY. The report notes that although most of Huawei’s smart band models had no major upgrades, the introduction of the Band 10 with new colors and features contributed to its sales increase.

Apple holds the third position in the rankings, having shipped 7.6 million smart bands for a 15.2% market share. However, Apple experienced a 1% YoY decline in shipments. Samsung came in fourth, selling 4.3 million units and capturing an 8.6% market share, achieving a substantial 52% annual growth. Rounding out the top five, Noise shipped 2 million units, corresponding to a 4% share of the market.

The growth of the smart band market is driven by a growing consumer focus on health, fitness, and sports, according to Jack Leathem, an analyst at Omida. “Smart bands have become a core interface for health, fitness, and wellness apps as consumers continue to prioritize personal health and fitness,” Leathem stated. He added, “This trend will continue to fuel growth, particularly as innovations enable expansions into medical and clinical markets.”
